Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been a resident of Japan since 1993, mostly in Japanese companies and all Japanese language environments. Being the oddball (in comparison to the average salaryman) has led to wearing many different hats, board director, CFO, IT consultant, sales, programmer, and designer. It has also allowed my to work with customers local and international, public and private sector, large and small. Where cultures meet can be a harsh environment, but like the shoreline it's rich with life and there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
